According to a recent survey of over 200 business owners, 80% say they want to stop working in their businesses within the next decade, with 53% planning to sell or transfer ownership. Yet, only 20% have formalized their exit strategies in writing,* leaving many business owners unprepared for the transition. Whether you intend to sell, transfer, or close your business, having a strategy in place is essential. The earlier you start planning, the more control you’ll have over your transition.
